
Mbaye Dieng
Mbaye Dieng holds a Ph.D. in geography, and spatial planning, from the University of Bordeaux 3. He also offers a postgraduate degree in Sustainable urban Development, option Strategic Urban Planning and Policy, Institute for Housing and Urban Studies Erasmus University Rotterdam in addition to a master's degree in, geography option Environment and Sustainable Development from University Gaston Berger de Saint-Louis. He also obtained a Certificate in Quality, Health, Safety and
Environment (QHSE).
For 17 years, he has carried out numerous missions as an Environment, climate change, Urban planning, and resilience Specialist. He is the former Programme manager of the ICT4D research project on Climate Change and Food Security in Africa implemented in Benin, Kenya, Rwanda, Malawi, Senegal, and Tunisia and funded by IDRC. He was a consultant for the development of the West African Development Bank’s “Environment and Climate Strategy 2013- 2020”
Mr. Dieng's main areas of interest are environment and sustainable development, urban planning, urban resilience, land governance, and donor resettlement procedures.
Currently, I am working as a Technical advisor in charge of land management and environmental issues at the General Delegation for Promoting the Urban Pole of Diamniadio and the Pink Lake, Senegal which aims to build a new urban city near Dakar
