Douglas Kimemia is a Kenyan native who currently resides in the USA with his family. He has a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University in the USA. Dr. Kimemia is an assistant professor at the Department of Political Science at the Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA, where he has taught for almost ten years. He has taught various courses on comparative politics, political economy, Public policy, African politics, and Nonprofit governance. He is also the director of the political science curriculum and in charge of the nonprofit studies minor. Douglas has published several articles on political conflicts, NGOs, and corruption. His book focuses on the social cleavages or divisions and the democratization process in Africa. He is currently working on his second book which examines how organizational culture impacts corruption among NGOs in Kenya. His latest article is about how the political conflicts and instabilities impact various sectors of our lives including democracy
